Lunch & Learn: Activate Student Learning with TurningPoint Classroom Voting

Print this post
Update: View the  presentations from Gillian Taylor and Stevie Roberston which were recorded using Panopto.

Date: Wednesday 29th August, Time: 1230-1600 (lunch included), Venue: Craiglockhart 2/05. You are warmly invited to this event to learn how TurningPoint classroom voting can increase participation in lectures and promote peer discussions. There will be presentations from academics on their approaches, and we will be joined by Alan Duddy from Turning Technologies for a participative tour of the TurningPoint ‘Trinity’ that demonstrates a range of strategies from ‘polling without questions’ to ‘measuring learning gains’.

There is an opportunity for hands-on training and so the event is open to anyone with an interest in active learning, whether you have used classroom voting technologies or are would like to get started with TurningPoint. A sandwich lunch is provided and places are limited so register early or contact Stephen Bruce (Information Services) for event information.
