Moodle upgrade

Moodle was upgraded to version 3.2 during the summer and here you will find details of the most noticeable changes.

Since Moodle is increasingly being accessed from mobile devices we are moving to Moodle’s newly developed ‘Boost’ theme to improve the mobile user experience.

The Boost theme frees up space for content by consolidating administrative and editing features as follows:

• Blocks can only appear on the right hand side of the screen.
• On the left is a collapsible side panel with links to important functions such as Grades and Participants.
• Turning editing on/off is in the same place but now via a cog icon that also links to other course settings.
• We have refreshed the colour scheme using the University’s colour palette.
