MEDIALecture replaces Camtasia Relay
Camtasia Relay is no longer supported by the parent company (Techsmith) and the University has withdrawn it from service. Any videos created by Camtasia Relay which are stored in the online video server are unaffected by this withdrawal.
MEDIALecture is the replacement screen recorder which connects directly to the online video server and is licensed by the same company (MEDIAL). MEDIALecture is available from AppsAnywhere, and to get started view the recording with MEDIALecture quick guide.
MEDIALlecture is most appropriate for screen recording at your own computer, whereas Panopto is recommended for recording classroom teaching activities.

The MEDIALecture recorder has four options to choose from:
- voice only
- webcam and voice
- screen and voice
- screen, voice and webcam.
There are editing options that allow the recording to be trimmed or chopped, and titles and credits to be added before uploading. View the MEDIALecture page for more information.
