Welcome to the new Skills@Library Programme for 2026/27, previously known as the Digital Library Skills Programme.

The programme offers short, practical sessions to help staff and students develop their research and information skills. Sessions cover a range of Library tools, services and subject-specific resources.

The programme includes online sessions that help you refresh your knowledge of Library tools and services. You can also use these sessions to find resources and guidance to signpost to your students.

Whether you want to develop your own skills or support your students, Skills@Library offers practical learning opportunities throughout the academic year.

What’s on offer?

The programme includes a range of standalone sessions. Some sessions also focus on the needs of specific Schools or subject areas.

Sessions are available online. Students can also attend drop-in sessions in our physical libraries. Sessions are free and open to all students.

• Introduction to APA 7th referencing

  Discover how to find business research through LibrarySearch and specialist academic journal databases.

• Mendeley and EndNote: Introduction and comparison

• British Standards in 15 minutes

  Get a quick introduction to British Standards in this express session, designed for those with limited time.
