If you’re not already familiar with BoB (Box of Broadcasts), it’s time to get your fingers tapping on that keyboard to discover just what this treasure trove has to offer you for your viewing pleasure this Christmas!
BoB National is an innovative shared online off-air TV and radio recording service for UK higher and further education institutions. It contains over a million items, including an archive of all BBC TV and radio content dating from 2007. To access BoB, you will need to go to Library Search and login to your account. Then, click on databases and find BoB in the alphabetised list under the letter B. Or… just click on the hyperlink I’ve put on every single BoB in this post!
In terms of Christmas content available on the site, there’s loads to choose from! You can search for what you want to see if it’s available or there’s a playlist available with what are sure to be some of your faves, from Elf, Love Actually and The Holiday to Die Hard and Bad Santa. Don’t fret, the classics are also available, including Miracle on 34th Street and It’s A Wonderful Life.
From all of us here at Edinburgh Napier Library, have a Merry Christmas and a happy and safe holiday season! π
