Workshop Invite: Autonomous (self-driving) Buses

As part of project CAV Forth, part-funded by the UK Governments’ Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CCAV), Edinburgh Napier University is working with Stagecoach on a project which aims to launch the UK’s first autonomous (self-driving) bus service in East Scotland in 2022.

Edinburgh Napier University and Stagecoach are running an online workshop where you can hear more about the CAV Forth trial, join in discussions, be part of our research and contribute to the future of autonomous public transport.

The workshop will explore the benefits and risks associated with the deployment of autonomous buses and the factors which might help or hinder their introduction. The workshop will also cover the longer-term impact of autonomous public transport, beyond the CAV Forth project.

We are looking for a broad range of participants to represent stakeholder opinions – you don’t have to be a technology expert! Places are limited so you need to complete the online registration form if you want to participate. If you are selected, our event organisers from Edinburgh Napier University will contact you, by email or by telephone, with further details.

When registering, please let us know which of the following dates and times you would be available to attend.

· Friday 29th April 12:00 to 14:00

· Tuesday 3rd May 10:00 to 12:00

· Wednesday 4th May 15:00 to 17:00
