E-Scooters – The Big Questions – 13 May 2021, 17:00-18:00

Dr Achille Fonzone, Associate Professor, has been invited to speak at the ‘E-Scooters – The Big Questions’ event which is led by CIHT Scotland Young Professionals Committee.  This event takes place on Thursday 13th May at 5pm and is free to attend.

Overview

E-scooters: A solution for commuters or an accident waiting to happen? This event offers the opportunity for attendees to consider whether this big topic in transport presents a viable alternative mode of transport or whether it is masking the larger issues at play.  Six speakers from a variety of backgrounds have been invited to discuss and debate the ‘big questions’ around e-scooters:

  • How do e-scooters fit into the future of mobility?
  • Are they safe?
  • Can they offer a healthier way of travel?

They will look at the pros and cons of electric scooters and how they could fit into today’s world. There will be an opportunity for attendees to quiz the speakers at the end of the event.
