The sudden and desperately sad news of Ian’s death on Friday morning was announced on Monday 8th March by Paths for All. Ian represented all that is good in people – kind, compassionate, collaborative, listening, and understanding – and with a deep love for the natural environment. I have benefited both from my limited professional acquaintance with Ian, and through his clear support for my post here at TRI which Paths for All has match-funded for two years. To say that his untimely death is a loss is a gross understatement.
