Have a good read of JISC’s first ever quarterly digest of news about their work in open access. Open Access Update gives plenty of links to really useful resources that help you meet open access requirements, something that’s becoming more critical as 1st April looms closer and REF compliance rules change.

We did see a very interesting snippet of news about SHERPA REF, which we blogged about a few months ago here. At that time it was in development but the news is that it’s now being tested and will soon be released. SHERPA REF helps authors and institutions find out quickly if a journal complies with REF policy. The beta version should be ready sometime in February.
