The Open Transit Software Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose members include transit agencies, commercial firms, other nonprofits, academic researchers, and individual developers and other transit enthusiasts.
The goals of OTSF are:
- To deliver robust real-time applications that meet the needs of transit providers and academic researchers
- To foster an expanding and dynamic community of users, both commercial and academic
- To build productive, effective partnerships with other open source transit and like-minded projects.
OTSF has a Board of Directors, elected by the members at the annual meeting. The annual meeting is typically held in Washington, DC in association with the Transportation Research Board (TRB) conference in January, with the ability to participate remotely as well.
