Institution of Civil Engineers publish TRI research – Cycling pavement assessment using hand-arm vibration exposure

Recent research by Dr Mark Taylor, in collaboration with the Engineering Research Group at Edinburgh Napier University, has been published by the Institution of Civil Engineers.  The research examined the use of an instrumented probe bicycle to undertake asset condition assessment for cycling infrastructure.  The research project is ongoing and Glasgow City Council have recently expressed interest in the using such survey tools to contribute to improving asset data management associated with cycling, walking and mobility infrastructure provision.
