NSA’s Sports and Societies: Why and How to Get Involved!

NSA Edinburgh Napier Students logoAs I previously explained what the NSA stands for and what it does for Edinburgh Napier students, I was also asked more than once to go over the various offerings for sport clubs and societies. Sports and societies have been existing at Edinburgh Napier since the 1970s and they want to reflect students’ interests so that the whole student experience is enriched. Both sport clubs and societies fall under the so-called ‘Team Napier’ and they are a great way not only to invest time in something you’re passionate about, but also to meet other people with similar interests đŸ™‚ These listed are the current offerings, however, if you’re very interested in a specific topic/sport and you’re able to prove that another three students are then you might be able to set up your own club or society đŸ™‚

Edinburgh Napier Students’ Association (NSA): What It Is and What It Does

NSA Edinburgh Napier UniversityThe Napier Students’ Association (NSA) is the organisation that alongside ISAS makes sure students have the best possible experience and achieve their full potential whilst studying at Edinburgh Napier University. The NSA represents the university’s student union and it can help you in many ways, from getting the necessary support for personal matters to keeping you entertained with social activities. When I was a student at Edinburgh Napier I did get involved in many NSA activities and I’m glad I did so because by doing that I met fantastic people and opened many doors for myself. Just to clarify, the NSA is a self-standing organisation and is run separately from the University (it’s run by the students for the students), but cooperates with the University on various levels e.g. to report problems or cooperate for different campaigns. Finally, their mutual goal is to make sure students are happy with their experience at Edinburgh Napier.

After a long break from writing (during which I got my MSc and started my career in media advertising!), I am back with some more stories and insights about my experience as a student in Edinburgh.
