Bruce Ryan has recently mapped data about creative industries in south-east Scotland. This was for the Creative Informatics programme. The maps show creative companies in this part of Scotland according to their Department for Culture, Media and Sport codes, and Scottish Creative and Cultural Industries codes.
The Creative Informatics researchers have written about the aims of this small project here. In this post on his own blog, Bruce writes about how the map works, and the problems he encountered with the data – not Creative Informatics’ fault!
