Charlotte passed her PhD viva in 2018!
I graduated from Aberdeen University in 2010 with a Bsc (Hons) in Psychology. With the goal of becoming a Clinical Psychologist I pursued a variety of job roles to increase my experience and understanding of this area of Psychology. While working as an Honorary Research Assistant I became increasingly interested in CBT, particularly in the context of acute mental health services.
In 2014, I joined Edinburgh Napier University as a PhD student. With the support of NHS Lothian, my research aims to investigate the effectiveness of a psychologically informed acute mental health service compared to treatment as usual in terms of clinical, interpersonal and economic outcomes.
