Progress report on implementing HEFCE’s Open Access policy
Are you wondering how UK HEIs are getting on with implementing HEFCE’s open access policy? Neil Jacobs, Head of Scholarly Communications Support at JISC, has blogged a summary of a JISC-commissioned review of the progress made so far. The study shows that progress has been made but also identifies areas where institutions would benefit from additional support.
The review found that all the institutions participating in the study were making progress in implementing open access policy and preparing for the next REF.
The recommendations made to JISC highlight a number of areas where additional activity would be beneficial.
