Coronavirus update

Firstly, we very much hope that you’re reading this in a position of relative calm and comfort. Though the university has suspended all classes and in-person business is very limited, know that there is still lots of advice and support available to students, albeit in different ways. For updates on the university’s operations, we’d encourage you to keep an eye on the dedicated myNapier pages.

Given the extraordinary circumstances brought about by the coronavirus, the Academic Skills team will be providing a remote service for the foreseeable future. To that end, we are offering advice by email or WebEx video appointments. We will respond to individual preferences. In all cases, send a message to the Academic Skills inbox:

academicskills@napier.ac.uk

We’ll do our best to get back to you within two working days, though hopefully sooner. We aim to provide guidance to all students who need it. Nevertheless, if demand reaches a point where we are not able to do so, we will prioritise those students in the final years of their degree programmes. We also have a great deal of study and writing guidance available online. Please consult the resources on this site and our Get Ready site.

Finally, if the current circumstances are affecting your mental, spiritual or financial health, we’d encourage you to get in touch with the Wellbeing and Support, Chaplaincy or Student Funding services. They remain open and ready to offer advice and support.
