Over 120 students and staff from all over Europe gathered at Edinburgh Napier University’s Merchiston Campus on 24th April to embark on a week filled with presentations, trips and activities.
ICEW is a consortium of six European universities, comprising Edinburgh Napier University; CESI Paris; Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen; Cologne University of Applied Sciences; DTU Copenhagen and the University of Burgos, Spain. Activities included a ghost tour in Edinburgh city, team building activities (designing clan tartans, bridge-building and retaining wall design), industry experts sharing their knowledge and experience on Scotland’s Canals and North Bridge re-development and visits to the Falkirk Wheel and Forth Road Bridge. We were met with such enthusiasm and engagement from the students and witnessed incredible talent.
We look forward to meeting again and visiting Groningen University next year.
