Now, this is a question we get asked a lot. So, together with the Repository team, we’ve created a video which we hope will go a long way towards answering this question. We’ve divided the publication process into three stages and tried to include as many name variations for each:

Unfortunately, there is no agreed naming convention for papers at each stage along the publication route. One of the troublesome areas in deciding which version of your paper you can deposit is working out which version you actually have. To help with this, we’ve included key features for each version, including what does the paper look like, who works on the paper and if you can deposit it.
