Open access transition made easier with UK’s first collaborative publishing consortium
Are you involved in Humanities research and concerned about publishing your research open access? Then you may be interested in a new collaborative open access consortium agreement which means that authors won’t have to pay to make their research open access.
Open Library of Humanities in collaboration with JISC is offering a new publishing model which works by sharing costs across its consortium of library members who pay a fee to join. This is instead of charging authors and their institutions an upfront fee on publication otherwise known as an article processing charge.
You can read more about the project on the JISC blog – http://www.jisc.ac.uk/news/open-access-transition-made-easier-30-apr-2015
