Scottish higher education institutions have signed a new agreement with the publisher SAGE to cover the costs of open access. From now until the end of 2022, all authors of articles published in SAGE journals where the corresponding author is affiliated with Edinburgh Napier University (or any other Scottish university) will be offered the option to make their article open access. This is free at the point of publication to the author – the costs have already been covered by the annual subscription fee paid by the library.
