A major HEFCE study on “Monographs and open access” has been released. The study was led by Geoffey Crossick and focuses on monographs in the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. The report identifies many issues involved with applying open access publishing to monographs but underlines the fact that there are many benefits to the scholarly community.
