Events for Open Access Week
Information Services and RIO have organised a number of events on all campuses to participate in Open Access Week. This annual international celebration of ‘all things open access’ is taking place from 23rd – 29th October. There are Foyer Roadshows for all staff and PhD students to come along and ask a quick question or have a chat with Library and RIO staff. There’s also the chance to find out about ORCID iDs and also to register for your own one.
Foyer roadshows take place:
Craiglockhart Monday 23rd October 11am-1pm
Merchiston Tuesday 24th October 11am-1pm
Sighthill Thursday 26th October 11am-1pm
Immediately after the Foyer Roadshows there are ‘Ask the Expert’ drop-in sessions run by Library and RIO staff. These do exactly what they say – there are experts waiting for your question! You can also see examples of which version of a paper you should deposit through the Worktribe Research Management System.
Craiglockhart Monday 23rd October 1-2pm Room 1/47
Merchiston Tuesday 24th October 1-2pm Triangle Restaurant
Sighthill Thursday 26th October 1-2pm LRC 1 Entrance
For full details of the Foyer Roadshows and Ask the Expert sessions, see our Open Access Week page.
We’ll also be tweeting open access related tweets throughout the week from both @EdNapLib and @EdNapierRIO so follow us and see what’s happening throughout the week. And beyond!
