InFutUReWood

Innovative Design for the Future – Use and Reuse of Wood (Building) Components “InFutUReWood”

Project kick of meeting, 6-7 March 2019, Edinburgh.

Starts with lunch from 12 noon on the 6th, with business from 1pm.  A study tour of the labs is offered from 11am.

The meeting ends with lunch from 12 noon on the 7th.

This meeting is open to all partners.

The venue is the boardroom of our “7 Hills” building. The location is very handy for the airport. The building is not so easy to find so we recommend you read these instructions first. At the moment there is construction work on the land in front of the building so look for cranes and steel frames being erected.

There are hotels within walking distance (Novotel Edinburgh Park & Premier Inn Edinburgh Park but it is also convenient to stay in the city centre and travel to the meeting place by local bus).  Edinburgh has many hotels. Popular locations for visitors are the new town (the regular grid of streets north of the castle) and the old town (the mess of streets south of the castle). Staying on the west side of the city centre is also popular and would be handy for transport. This bus route map shows the city centre and airlink 100 bus & tram stops (the best way to get between the city centre and airport). The area just off the bottom of the map is also a good place to stay, but be aware the castle and the “Royal Mile” (High Street and Canongate) sit on a hill.  If you have some spare time, and want things to see and do while here, a good place to start is edinburgh.org

This contact form will not automatically email you with confirmation – but we will contact you later to let you know we received your registration. If in doubt you can contact Dan (d.ridleyellis@napier.ac.uk)

Note there is also a kick of meeting of the ForestValue research programme itself, on 23-24 May (Helsinki)
