Prof Islam Shyha wins a funding bid from the British Council

SEBE is pleased to announce that Prof Islam Shyha, head of Mechanical Engineering and Design, has been awarded a grant from the British Council under the Newton Fund Impact Scheme. The project will begin in January 2022 and last for one year, in collaboration with Alexandria University in Egypt. The overall reward is £160k, with £80k going to ENU. Using Solution Blow Spinning, the project aims to develop piezo-active nanofibrous for self-decontaminating facemasks/filters.
