In 2020, an international consortium led by Edinburgh Napier University (ENU), joined by Dongguan University of Technology (DGUT), Guangxi University of Science and Technology (GXUST), National University of Laos (NUoL), University Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), Corvinus University of Budapest (CUoB), Hanoi University of Industry (HUoI), Chiang Mai University (CMU) and Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), successfully won the British Council UK-China-BRI Countries Partnership funding award Adapting to Industry 4.0 oriented international education and research collaboration from 2020 to 2025. The partnership also received a match-fund from Ministry of Education, China.
2021 International Workshop on Industry 4.0 and Intelligent Manufacturing is the first online research orientated workshop hosted and funded by DGUT, and co-organised by ENU and the project partner universities. It is taking place on Thursday 9th September. Dr Savvas Papadopoulos, Binetti Leonardo, Dr Luigi La Spada and Prof Xiaodong Liu from Edinburgh Napier University are presenting at the event. Johnson Zhang is on the organising committee.
