Our speakers will be:
“In this presentation, some highlights of research outcomes in the field of road safety are described, namely: a) the influence of human factors (specifically drivers’ familiarity with routes) on driving behaviour, b) the possible variation of road safety predictions between countries (in collaboration with Napier University). A brief outline of the current research shared by the Polytechnic University of Bari and the Napier University will be provided as well.”
Paolo Intini is currently post-doctoral research fellow at the Polytechnic University of Bari, Italy, and lecturer at the University of Salento (“Design of Roads, Railways and Airports”), with a background in Civil Engineering, Transportation. He has formerly been guest researcher at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and the Lund University, Sweden. His research focuses on road safety, human factors and driving behaviour, crash data analysis, road design, evacuation traffic. He is visiting researcher at the Napier University until the end of November, working with Dr. Achille Fonzone and Dr. Grigorios Fountas.
“This presentation will highlight the multi- and inter-disciplinary research done at the Resource Efficient Built Environment Lab, with an eye on its past and another one on its future”.
