Volleyball Event in the Meadows

October 2, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

We’re organising a fun volleyball tournament on the Edinburgh Meadows, for all RPG students, staff and their families, on the afternoon of Saturday 2nd October. Start 1pm. FANCY?

Come along even if you don’t want to play, meet other PG students and chill out watching everyone else.

“YOU DON’T NEED ANY EXPERIENCE OR PARTICULAR ‘FITNESS’!”

Volleyball is a great way to get to know each other in a fun, informal setting. It’s just simple fun – for complete novices and players alike. For adults and children, fit and unfit. That’s the very reason volleyball was invented – a game for everyone of any age, fitness, size, shape and ability – or none! Just good ‘fun’😊!

The bare minimum ‘coaching’ and ‘rules’ will be provided on the day – after 3 ‘touches’ each side, the ball must cross the net. That’s it! You’re good to go!

Next week we’ll mail again calling for: ‘student’ and ‘staff’ teams of 4’, as well as ‘individual students’ and ‘individual staff’, from all Napier Schools and Academic Staff. Teams can be ‘all staff’, ‘all student’ or a ‘mix of both’ and can include families.

If students and staff can form their own ‘Teams’ of 4 we’d like you to. However, many, perhaps most PG students working away in isolation won’t be able to do that. No problem at all, we’ll quickly form you into Teams on the day.

On receipt of this notification please would you:

  1. Note the date/time/place in the diary.
  2. Consider coming along to play or watch and recommend it to colleagues.
  3. Start getting Teams (of 4) together – if you can, if not just pitch up on the day on your own, we’ll put you into a team when you arrive.
  4. Watch this space – sign-up details will be sent out next week

Kind regards
