Upcoming Edinburgh event from the Central Scotland Group of The Geological Survey:
On March 26th the CSRG have organised Hugh Barron of the British Geological Survey to talk about:
The Glasgow Geothermal Energy Research Field Site
This is an ambitious project to try and harness the geothermal energy from former coal workings beneath Glasgow in order to provide a low-cost and low-carbon heat source.
This will no doubt be a very interesting talk and of course ties in excellently with this year’s Geological Society theme: 2019 The Year of Carbon
Time & Date:
Tuesday 26th March @ 17.30 for prompt start at 18:00
Venue:
Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation – ECCI
High School Yards,
