The Research, Innovation and Enterprise team of Edinburgh Napier is pleased to announce that the application window for the Researcher Development Fund 2022-23 is now open!
The strategy of the funding is to enable doctoral students and early career research staff to initiate, design, manage and deliver new professional development activities for their peers, which will in turn develop the skills and experience needed to progress their own careers.
This initiative is intended to support personal, professional and career development for the lead researcher and their peers at Edinburgh Napier University.
Any funded project should contribute to the wider research culture of the university and should have clear benefits beyond the personal development of the lead researcher alone. The fund is NOT designed for funding research projects directly, nor is it designed to support travel to conferences or attendance at conferences (unless as a part of a wider development project).
Applicants are invited to apply for funding to organise an event or initiative, between 9 January and 31 July 2023.
We encourage applications from doctoral and early career researchers of all backgrounds.
An online information session will be held on Monday 31 October, from 1-2pm. This will cover types of projects funded in the past, selection criteria for the funding, and timelines for projects. There will also be a chance to ask questions about the funding. Find out more via Edinburgh Napier’s Internal Research Funding Intranet webpage.
