Academics! Unlock New Skills with the latest Aspect Training Programmes!
About Aspect Training
The Aspect Training cohorts are designed specifically to support university academics and professional support staff in developing the essential skills needed to thrive in the evolving SHAPE commercialisation landscape.
These programmes are part of a dynamic initiative aimed at helping universities and their staff make smarter, more informed decisions about training and professional development.
By taking part in Aspect training, teams can map out the critical skills they’re developing through the Personal Development Passport on the Aspect Members Platform, while earning Aspect skills-based micro-credentials that demonstrate their growing expertise.
This initiative not only supports skill development but also offers a structured approach to managing time and budget pressures—two key challenges in today’s fast-paced academic environment.

Help Your Staff Map Their Skills Development with Aspect Training
As part of these and other Aspect training programmes, participants will earn Aspect micro-credentials, reflecting their growing knowledge in SHAPE commercialisation and the skills developed on that journey.
These micro-credentials contain a matrix of the skills developed through Aspect activities and are automatically tracked in participant’s Personal Development Passport on the Aspect Members Platform, allowing them to map their professional development journey, identify areas for growth, and plan future training or community activities.
Aspect’s aim is to be able to help map the skills being developed across the whole of the SHAPE commercialisation landscape, providing a clearer picture for all.
If you would be interested in mapping the skills being developed through your own internal training and helping us connect the dots, then please do get in touch with Sean Farran via sean.farran@aspect.ac.uk.
If you have any questions about the training sessions please contact Frank Wong via frank.kawang@oxentia.com and for any enquires on the Skills Matrix, online materials or help with spreading the word please contact Sean Farran via sean.farran@aspect.ac.uk
