We have six schools at Edinburgh Napier University and although research students are usually based at one of these schools, their project may be spanning across the schools and there are events available both within and across schools to meet each other. This can help you find other postgraduate research students who conduct research similar to yours but are based in another school.
If you are interested in getting in touch with students from a school that is not your own, get in touch with their representative and they can help you to get in touch with the right person.

As mentioned above, many students are looking at subjects that span across schools and it can be very valuable for you to attend workshops and events across schools to get to know other researchers who might be looking at a topic that is similar to your own but from a different viewpoint. Check the postgraduate rep page to find out about who is the rep for each school and get in touch with them if you are interested in another school’s research students or resources (such as lab facilities) and they can point you in the right direction.
