New Wiley open access agreement

A UK-wide agreement has been signed with the publisher Wiley to cover the costs of open access. From 2 March 2020, this new agreement means that all authors affiliated with institutions whose libraries pay for the Wiley journal subscription package may publish primary research and review articles in Wiley journals at no further charge.

Edinburgh Napier University library subscribes to this deal, so if the corresponding author is affiliated with ENU (or another eligible institution) and the article was accepted on or after 2 March 2020, it can be made open access at no further cost. (Please note that only a certain number of articles can be published each year under this agreement.)

Update July 2021 – there is a cap on the number of articles that can be made open access under this deal each year, so if your article is accepted later in the year, it may not be eligible.

A similar agreement with Springer is already in place. See this list of open access deals that ENU authors have access to.
