The Chief Scientist Office (CSO) has launched a new open access policy this month.

All peer-reviewed research and review articles are subject to the new policy, and should be published as immediate gold open access with a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license. Edinburgh Napier has a selection of publisher deals for authors to make their articles open access at no extra cost. If a journal is not included in one of these deals, the CSO will cover the cost (up to £8,000 per grant).
