Dr Firdaus Muhammad Sukki and Dr Jubaer Ahmad have secured Starter Grant funding from the School. The project is complementary to the FUSE Project aim at designing a new type of solar concentrator to improve the performance of DSSC that incorporate the oyster mushroom dyes as a novel strategy to substitute the costly chemical production process with easily extractable, environmentally acceptable dyes. The project will bring a new dynamic to the existing renewable energy research, particularly in solar PV area. The applications of this research include the building integrated PV, energy harvesting, and integration to electric vehicle etc. This opens up new areas for research and consultation projects with the industry. In this work, Dr Firdaus will continues to strengthen the research links between ENU and 4 international universities in Malaysia.
