Edinburgh Napier University encourages early-career researchers and early-career academics to join us a full-day course, split across two half-days on ‘Applying for Fellowships’.
These online workshops have been designed and delivered to help early-career researchers and early-career academics to identify relevant fellowships schemes and to put together a competitive application.
This will be an interactive course, that will involve researchers meeting and working in groups.
Topics include:
- Fellowships as a route to being an academic
- Fellowship hunt
- Basics of fellowship writing
- Real time abstract / lay person summary writing and feedback
- Choosing a host and location
- Networking

Who is it for?
Early-career researchers and academics looking to apply for fellowship in the next few years (not recommended for PhD researchers)
Type of session
Online- high levels of engagement and interaction, active participation likely e.g. breakout rooms, groups discussions. Private space with access to camera and microphone highly recommended to get the best experience
