{"id":952,"date":"2019-09-17T09:26:44","date_gmt":"2019-09-17T09:26:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/scebe-research\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=952"},"modified":"2019-09-17T09:26:44","modified_gmt":"2019-09-17T09:26:44","slug":"5th-annual-electric-vehicle-event","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/scebe-research\/event\/5th-annual-electric-vehicle-event\/","title":{"rendered":"5th Annual Electric Vehicle Event"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The University will hold its 5th Annual Electric Vehicle Event at our Craiglockhart campus on 9 October.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Matheson MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Infrastructure and Connectivity will give the keynote address, while vehicles on display will include Kia\u2019s e-Niro, car of the year, and VW\u2019s e-Golf.<\/p>\n<p>Confirmed speakers include:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Andy Robinson, Head of ULEV delivery, Transport Scotland<\/li>\n<li>Bj\u00f6rn Hasselgren, Senior Advisor at the Swedish Transport Administration, who will speak about the electric road programme<\/li>\n<li>Ellie Grebenik, Senior Programme Manager, Scottish Transport, Energy Saving Trust, on the e-bike grant fund scheme<\/li>\n<li>James McKemey, Head of Insights, PodPoint, the UK\u2019s leading provider of electric vehicle charging<\/li>\n<li>Jonathan Cowie, School of Engineering and the Built Environment, on the SURFLOGH project<\/li>\n<li>Colin Cochrane, Edinburgh Napier student, on his research on \u201cDesign of a Solar Sourced, Electrically Powered Rickshaw\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Keith Alcock, Edinburgh Napier student talking about his research on \u201cThe thermal management of Lithium-ion batteries using foam material\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Exhibition stands will include SWARCO, Peddlesmart, Electric Cycle Company, EVA Scotland and Co-Wheels Car Club.<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in attending, would like to exhibit at the event or like further information, email <a href=\"mailto:evseminar@napier.ac.uk\">evseminar@napier.ac.uk<\/a> or call 0131 455 2951.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>The University will hold its 5th Annual Electric Vehicle Event at our Craiglockhart campus on 9 October.
