The deadline for applications is <u>12 noon Friday 30 August 2019<\/u>.&nbsp; If you have a project idea and industry contact and are thinking of applying please contact Dr Sharon McGettrick, RIO (s.mcgettrick@napier.ac.uk) right away.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a3200k is available to support at least 6 studentships with individual grants of up to \u00a330k.<\/li>\n<li>A defining characteristic of the programme is <strong>strong industry engagement where companies are co-investors<\/strong>, support project specification and engage with the research directly.<\/li>\n<li>&nbsp;Projects must support the Scottish Government\u2019s Energy Strategy, as detailed in the application form.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>See attached application form for full details. <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/scebe-research\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/132\/2019\/08\/ETP-Energy-Studentships-2019-Application.pdf\">ETP Energy Studentships 2019 &#8211; Application<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026.<\/p>\n<p>The PhD proposals should relate to one of the six strategic aims of the Scottish Energy Strategy &#8211; The Future of Energy in Scotland:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Consumer Engagement and Protection<\/li>\n<li>Champion Scotland\u2019s Renewable Energy and Low Carbon Potential<\/li>\n<li>Improve the Energy Efficiency of Scotland\u2019s Homes, Buildings, Industrial Processes and Manufacturing<\/li>\n<li>Support Oil and Gas Industry Strengths<\/li>\n<li>Maintain Secure, Resilient and Flexible Energy Supplies<\/li>\n<li>Empower Communities by Supporting Innovative Local Energy Systems and NetworksIn addition, the following areas are of particular interest in 2019\/20:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Off gas grid low carbon heat solutions<\/li>\n<li>Industrial energy efficiency<\/li>\n<li>Decentralised energy that offer a systems solution to transport, heat and electricity needs for the benefit of consumers<\/li>\n<li>Innovative energy and low carbon technologies.These can include technological, numerical, environmental, legislative, economic, and policy aspects.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>The ETP Energy Industry Doctorate Programme&nbsp;2019 Call is now open.
