Upcoming Edinburgh event from the Central Scotland Group of The Geological Survey:
\nOn March 26th the CSRG have organised Hugh Barron of the British Geological Survey to talk about:
\nThe Glasgow Geothermal Energy Research Field Site
\nThis is an ambitious project to try and harness the geothermal energy from former coal workings beneath Glasgow in order to provide a low-cost and low-carbon heat source.
\nThis will no doubt be a very interesting talk and of course ties in excellently with this year\u2019s Geological Society theme: 2019 The Year of Carbon<\/p>\n
