We’re excited to be hosting our 4th Exhibition:\u00a0 ‘Green Horizons – Towards Sustainable Futures’<\/strong> in just 4 weeks’ time<\/em>.\u00a0 This is taking place at Edinburgh Napier University’s<\/a> Merchiston Campus<\/a>.\u00a0 This is open to the public on Wednesday 14th May from 10am until 6pm<\/strong>.\u00a0 The Exhibition is a showcase of the research, learning and teaching that goes on within the school with hands-on, ‘touch and see’ exhibits.<\/p>\n

You can expect to discover more about timber as a resource and as a construction material, to see da Vinci, the unpinned self-build timber bridge.\u00a0 Is this Jenga in reverse?\u00a0 How the robot dogs are being redeployed to help ecologists monitor the natural environment.\u00a0 Through our spinout company Mercel, the great strides we have made in the eco-friendly production of nano-cellulose as key to the reduction of plastic packaging.\u00a0 Electric battery manufacture using cellulose from water hyacinth, the latter being south east Asia’s version of Japanese knotweed.\u00a0 Material composites from funghi.\u00a0 Or solar PV cells’ performance improved using dye from mushrooms.<\/span><\/p>\n
