New advanced functional materials are highly important for the development of the next generation of energy storage devices. Among various types of energy storage devices, Hybrid supercapacitors (HSC) offer high performances, including higher energy density and rapid power delivery.<\/p>\n<p>Edinburgh Napier University team led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.napier.ac.uk\/people\/libu-manjakkal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr. Libu Manjakkal<\/a> in collaboration with academics from \u0141ukasiewicz &#8211; Institute of Microelectronics and Photonics, Poland and Atlantic Technological University, Ireland developed a new HSC by utilising LaFeO3, ABO3 perovskite materials as an active electrode. The new investigation was published in the prestigious Chemical Engineering Journal.<\/p>\n<p>The lead author Reshma Nair carried out a detailed electrochemical study on the material. The electrochemical and energy-storing performances of the LaFeO3 were studied for the electrode prepared at different sintering temperatures and the electrode whose surface was modified using conductive polymer.<\/p>\n<p><span data-teams=\"true\">Further details of the work could be found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1385894724102720?via%3Dihub\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>The tremendous increase in portable electronics demanded high-performing energy storage devices.
