{"id":4283,"date":"2024-09-26T11:19:15","date_gmt":"2024-09-26T11:19:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/scebe-research\/?p=4283"},"modified":"2024-09-26T11:24:01","modified_gmt":"2024-09-26T11:24:01","slug":"professor-robert-hairstans-named-pioneer-of-the-year-at-construction-industry-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/scebe-research\/professor-robert-hairstans-named-pioneer-of-the-year-at-construction-industry-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Professor Robert Hairstans named Pioneer of the Year at construction industry awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Edinburgh Napier University&#8217;s sustainable construction expert <a href=\"https:\/\/www.napier.ac.uk\/people\/robert-hairstans\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Professor Robert Hairstans<\/a> has been recognised with a prestigious industry award.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Hairstans was named <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radarbookingsystem.co.uk\/offsite-awards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pioneer of the Year at the 2024\u00a0Offsite Awards,<\/a> which were held in Coventry.<\/p>\n<p>As well as his role as Professor of offsite and industrialised construction at ENU\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.napier.ac.uk\/about-us\/our-schools\/school-of-computing-engineering-and-the-built-environment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">School of Computing, Engineering &amp; the Built Environment<\/a>\u00a0(SCEBE), he is the founding Director of the Centre for Advanced\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.offsitehub.co.uk\/offsite-technologies\/\">Timber<\/a>\u00a0Technology at the <a href=\"https:\/\/nmite.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New Model Institute for Technology &amp; Engineering (NMITE)<\/a>.
