The Results in Engineering (RINENG) Young Investigator Award Panel just announced the selection of Dr. Libu Manjakkal as one of the global winners of the 2024 RINENG Young Investigator Award<\/strong>. This prestigious accolade is bestowed upon early and mid-career independent researchers who have demonstrated outstanding research performance across various fields of Engineering, including Aerospace, Bioengineering, Chemical, Materials, Civil and Environmental, Electrical, Energy, Industrial and Manufacturing, and Mechanical.<\/p>\n

Dr. Manjakkal’s exceptional contributions to the field have earned this distinguished recognition, showcasing a commitment to advancing engineering knowledge and fostering innovation. The RINENG Young Investigator Award Panel extends heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Manjakkal for this well-deserved achievement. The section committee consists of Prof. Harvey Yi Huang, Prof. Zhongde Dai, Prof. Xiaobin Jiang, Prof. Mingjia Li, Prof. Jianquan Luo, Prof. Jingwei Hou, Prof. Yingqun Ma, and\u00a0 Prof. Meng Zhang.<\/p>\n

RINENG executive editor Prof. Suresh C. Pillai said that \u201cThe objective of the award is to inspire and honour individuals who have exhibited outstanding research achievements and the potential to advance the field of engineering knowledge.\u00a0 Dr. Manjakkal has significantly advanced the field of energy materials through a series of exemplary contributions. His groundbreaking research has not only deepened our understanding of energy materials but has also paved the way for innovative applications and technological advancements in this critical domain. Dr. Manjakkal’s work encompasses a diverse range of investigations, including the development of novel materials with enhanced energy storage capabilities, the exploration of sustainable and eco-friendly energy solutions, electrochemical sensors and wearable devices, textile electronics, and the optimization of material properties for improved efficiency in energy-related applications. His remarkable contributions have positioned him as a thought leader in the realm of energy materials, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future landscape of sustainable energy technologies.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dr. Manjakkal Completed his Ph.D. in electronic engineering (2015) from the Institute of Electron Technology, Poland (Marie Curie ITN Program). He had work experience in CMET, Kerala, India, NOVA School of Science and Technology, Portugal, and the University of Glasgow UK.<\/p>\n

As a recipient of the Young Investigator Award, Dr. Manjakkal is invited to contribute to an upcoming special issue on the \u2018\u20182024 RINENG Distinguished Scientist and Young Investigator Award\u2019\u2019 for Results in Engineering (RINENG).<\/p>\n

Results in Engineering, an ESCI-indexed, gold open-access journal, serves as the perfect platform for Dr. Manjakkal to publish and disseminate research findings. The journal has garnered recognition for its impact in the Engineering category, boasting an impressive first Impact Factor of 5.0, and is ranked 19 out of 178 (top 10%) according to the latest Journal Citation Reports by Clarivate in June 2023.
