{"id":2899,"date":"2023-08-08T10:08:53","date_gmt":"2023-08-08T10:08:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/scebe-research\/?p=2899"},"modified":"2023-08-16T10:21:56","modified_gmt":"2023-08-16T10:21:56","slug":"leading-the-charge-encouraging-bright-sparks-into-ev-careers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/scebe-research\/leading-the-charge-encouraging-bright-sparks-into-ev-careers\/","title":{"rendered":"Leading the charge: encouraging bright sparks into EV careers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The adoption of EVs plays a pivotal role in the pursuit of a sustainable and low-carbon future, but we need the next generation of talent to choose careers in the electromobility field to maximise its potential.<\/p>\n<p>To raise awareness, inspire our young people and foster the transition to a greener transportation system, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.napier.ac.uk\/people\/stathis-tingas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr Stathis Tingas<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.napier.ac.uk\/people\/firdaus-muhammad-sukki\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr Firdaus Muhammad Sukki<\/a> launched the Electric Avenues campaign.<\/p>\n<p>The transition to EVs will create new jobs in a variety of sectors, including manufacturing, technology, infrastructure development, and renewable energy. The career opportunities in electromobility are already lucrative \u2013 and are only going to grow.
