{"id":1724,"date":"2022-05-12T15:43:00","date_gmt":"2022-05-12T15:43:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/scebe-research\/?p=1724"},"modified":"2022-05-13T15:44:49","modified_gmt":"2022-05-13T15:44:49","slug":"covid-19-mitigation-in-schools","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/scebe-research\/covid-19-mitigation-in-schools\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018COVID-19 Mitigation In Schools\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In 2021, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.napier.ac.uk\/people\/john-currie\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Prof John Currie<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.napier.ac.uk\/people\/natalie-bain-reguis-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Natalie Reguis<\/a> were asked to do a report commissioned by the City of Edinburgh Council to look at CO2 levels and ventilation in different schools around the city.&nbsp; &nbsp;The report found that some classrooms had CO2 levels as high as 2,810ppm, while one music room had concentrations of 1,990ppm.<\/p>\n<p>The research took place between November 2020 and February 2021 across nine out of 123 primary schools.
