{"id":1248,"date":"2021-03-03T17:39:57","date_gmt":"2021-03-03T17:39:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/scebe-research\/?p=1248"},"modified":"2021-03-15T17:54:38","modified_gmt":"2021-03-15T17:54:38","slug":"bear-scotland-launches-scholarship-for-civil-engineering-students-at-edinburgh-napier-university","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/scebe-research\/bear-scotland-launches-scholarship-for-civil-engineering-students-at-edinburgh-napier-university\/","title":{"rendered":"BEAR Scotland launches scholarship for civil engineering students at Edinburgh Napier University"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Road maintenance giants&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bearscot.com\/\">BEAR Scotland<\/a> have launched a scholarship for civil engineering students at Edinburgh Napier University in memory of former chairman Bill Taylor.<\/p>\n<p>From academic year 2021\/22 onwards, the Bill Taylor Scholarship (BEAR Scotland) will provide \u00a33400 to support an undergraduate through the latter years of their degree.<\/p>\n<p>The scholarship in his name will be open to students pursuing&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.napier.ac.uk\/courses\/meng-civil-engineering-undergraduate-fulltime\">MEng<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.napier.ac.uk\/courses\/bengbeng-hons-civil-engineering-undergraduate-fulltime\">BEng<\/a>&nbsp;(Master and Bachelor) civil engineering courses at the University. Students will be eligible to apply during their second year, with the award confirmed upon successful entry into year three.<\/p>\n<p>As well as financial support, the scholarship will see each year\u2019s successful student offered work placements and a place on BEAR Scotland\u2019s graduate training programme after completion of their degree.
