Since the last update in the Spring, there have been many challenges for us all – COVID, lockdown, working from home, as well as opportunities for different types of research. Alongside this the University has been progressing with the preparation of the REF submission.
For me these challenges have not been helped by breaking my wrist in a cycling accident and having to take a lot of time off. This has resulted in some developments not happening in the same way or being delayed by several months.
Worktribe system update
Worktribe will be updated with the August 2020 version of the system on the evening of 27th October. Most of the changes are related to the data used by the REF team for the final submission and shouldn’t affect academic users. There will be other minor improvements across the system. The user guides for academic and research users will be updated in due course and available on the intranet, and within the help topics in the Worktribe system.
Worktribe and research data management training
Since I have only recently returned to work there are no scheduled training sessions around using Worktribe or research data management planning until after the new year. There is some guidance on the intranet, but if you need more specific help you can contact me, or the contacts for the various modules in Worktribe, for assistance. I would be happy to have 1:1 or small group sessions to look at specific areas/issues. Please email me to arrange.
