These are grants for up to \u00a310,000.\u00a0 Applicants must be within\u00a07 years\u00a0of\u00a0commencing their independent research career.<\/p>\n<p>Research Incentive Grants (RIG) aim to enable Early Career Researchers to undertake\u00a0short research projects, either of a stand-alone nature, or in the form of an initial study that could lead to a more extensive project.<\/p>\n<p>The principal criterion is excellent quality research which will enable the principal investigator to develop a new project or line of investigation leading to high quality outputs and outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>RIO&#8217;s External Funding Team are running an applications workshop for everyone interested in applying to this call on 12th September at 1.00pm to 2.00pm\u00a0here in the Merchiston Campus.\u00a0 The Carnegie Grants Manager will be contributing to the event to provide some insight into what makes a good application.<\/p>\n<p>This event is for everyone intending to submit to the 15th October and 15th March rounds, and, anyone unsuccessful in the previous rounds who wants to understand how their application could be improved for a future submission.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/staff.napier.ac.uk\/learningevents\/Pages\/EventDetails.aspx?EventID=5123577XBK\"><strong>Book your place here >><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Early Career Researcher? &#8211; Looking for a small research grant?
