Our recently launched Edinburgh Napier Innovation Hub<\/a> is committed to supporting our research community in developing the skills and knowledge to help transfer your ideas to reality.<\/p>\n

Ideas to Impact Workshops<\/h3>\n

We are pleased to be partnered with Converge<\/a> to support the delivery of four \u2018Ideas to Impact\u2019 online workshops<\/a> that will give Edinburgh Napier researchers the opportunity to join fellow researchers from Heriot-Watt University, Queen Margaret University, the University of Stirling and the University of Edinburgh to help you develop the skills and gain the information and support to take your ideas from paper to practical application.<\/p>\n

8 February, 1-2pm – Communicating your research<\/h4>\n

\"\"<\/a>Communicating the value of your research outside your field is an essential skill. In this interactive workshop, we will consider how the audience, environment and tools available in different settings guide and impact how you communicate.<\/p>\n

15 February, 1-2pm – The why and how of research translation<\/h4>\n

\"\"<\/a>Translation of research is becoming increasingly important and valued by universities, funding bodies and governments. This workshop will cover the value of research translation, the different ways in which research can be translated, and what the pathways to translation can look like in Scottish universities.<\/p>\n

8 March, 1-2pm \u2013 Research translation as impact<\/h4>\n

\"\"<\/a>Research impact has traditionally been measured by publication, but wider definitions are increasingly valued by essential stakeholders. This workshop will look at how translation can extend the reach and significance of research impact.<\/p>\n

15 March, 1-2pm – Innovation and idea generation<\/h4>\n

\"\"<\/a>The aims of this interactive workshop are to understand the value of innovation and to stimulate innovative thinking. Participants will explore how ideas and knowledge from research can be turned into translational opportunities with a mix of case studies and brainstorming from challenges in their own research.<\/p>\n
