Who can apply?
Converge is looking for individuals and teams with the drive to turn purpose into impact, by building ventures that create meaningful change while remaining commercially viable.
Staff, students and recent graduates at Scottish universities, with ideas, innovations and research which priorities people and planet alongside profit, are eligible to apply.
What kind of projects are eligible?
Projects and innovations in the following areas could be considered:
- Health & wellbeing
- Climate & sustainability
- Inclusive communities
- Future work & skills
- Social systems & policy
What’s involved?
Successful applicants will receive:
- Expert business training from real-world entrepreneurs
- Mentorship from The Ventures Lab team
- A chance to compete for a £10k prize package (cash and in-kind support)
- An intensive in-person training session in Edinburgh on 7 & 8 January 2026
