Ingenious Women is a programme that empowers women in STEM roles to take control of their professional development and careers. The programme was founded by Janet Wilkinson and Sara Shinton and it has run four times in previous years at the University of Edinburgh. Due to the success of the programme, it is now going national and Ingenious Women Scotland will run for the first time in 2018. The programme is open to all women working in STEM roles in Scotland, from any organisation.
The Ingenious Women Scotland programme has two sets of events:
- The three residential weekends: these run between April – June and are open to postdocs/industry women in STEM roles. There is an application process for these (deadline for applications is 15th March 2018) and they will be held in Croy; participants are expected to attend all three weekends.
- Networking events: There will be five of these short events held around the country (Aberdeen, Dundee, Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow) and they are open to all women in STEM to attend.
